We would like to share with you our experience with your Food Pantry Intake Program (FPIP)[PantrySoft].
After the initial input of our patron data, we were able to put the system into use immediately. Being an all-volunteer organization, some of our volunteers do not have extensive computer experience and had reservations about whether or not they would be able to learn a “computerized system.” FPIP has been developed in such a way that users are comfortable with using the system after just a few days.
It is a refreshing sight to see our volunteers checking in patrons, viewing their visit history, and verifying other information without running to a set of binders and leafing through pages of paper.
This past February, we had our first independent audit performed by an accounting firm. The auditors reviewed our patron intake process and our reporting capability. Their report noted that we had a comprehensive and detailed program in which to capture patron profiles and the demographic data needed for accurate reporting. The report went on to state that our patron reporting is considered accurate and reliable.
FPIP has been a major step forward for us. We look forward to installing the refinements as they are made available. Jim – you and your staff are a pleasure to work with.
